My Cats As Refuge
There’s something quietly profound about that. Cats have been my safe harbor since childhood, long before I had the language to call it that. Now, as I do the deeper work of building refuge within myself, I’m grateful they’re still here — warm, unhurried, and completely unbothered by whatever the world outside is doing. Maybe they’ve been modeling presence all along, and I’m just now catching up.
