The Knock That Changed My Life
We live in the middle of a national forest. Within minutes I can step onto a trail and disappear into the woods. There are endless hikes to explore. It’s quiet. Peaceful. No traffic. Very little crime (unless you count the occasional bear break-in). No Starbucks.
What we do have is a deep sense of community. People genuinely watch out for one another. What I treasure most are the people I’ve met here — individuals with layered histories, diverse paths, extraordinary talents: musicians, artists, performers, writers. And above all, good-hearted souls.
